Stonewood Residences
Covid-19 Response

As a premier boutique assisted living facility, Stonewood Residences continues to monitor and respond to the global pandemic by taking preventative measures to ensure the safety of our residents and their families. We take great pride in having successfully maintained zero cases of Covid 19 in our facility and will continue to make every effort possible to ensure this continues to be the case moving forward.

Covid 19 Prevention Control

Stonewood Residences has maintained Infection Control protocols since the inception of the global pandemic.  In addition to our already existing policies our team took immediate action when the pandemic began, adding additional safety measures to ensure our residents were protected against the threat. Among the actions taken were the following;

  • Daily temperature and health checks

  • PPE required for all staff and visitors

  • Screening of staff and visitors

  • Contact tracing of all visitors

  • Enhanced infection prevention and control education for all staff

  • Education and monitoring of proper hand hygiene and respiratory etiquette

  • Increased cleaning and sanitization of all high touch surfaces

  • Physical distancing in all areas

  • Assistance in getting essential family members vaccinated

  • Constant communication on changes to the guidelines with families and residents

Staying Connected & Engaged

Stonewood Residences staff understand the importance of staying connected to loved ones during the difficult times where restrictions are required to ensure the safety of everyone throughout the pandemic. As such we continue to look for new and innovative ways to keep loved ones connected. Here are some of the ways residents remained social and entertained:

  • Staff helped to set up video calls between residents and their families

  • Socially distanced visits following the Chief Medical Officer and RHRA Guidelines

  • Reintroducing responsible but interactive dining as guidelines permit

  • Daily safe and distanced activities for residents
