Our Extended Family

Notes From Our Client Families

Bringing my dad to County Home Care was the best possible solution we could have hoped for. With your “open door” policy our family always felt welcome, yet your private sitting areas made it possible to have close family time.

One of the best features of Country Home Care is the personalized care. My Dad arrived quite frail and with little appetite; because he enjoyed the delicious home cooked meals so much he actually gained weight.

I’ll always remember how much Dad loved sitting by the pond watching the fish or relaxing on the wrap around porch by the fireplace. Thank you all for making my dad’s final months the best they could be for him and the rest of our family.

My mother was very happy in this home for a few years. The staff were courteous and friendly, and the food exceptional. She would enjoy quietly sitting by the pond at the front of the property, or relaxing on the back patio by the pool. Special days were always celebrated by the staff, and as a family we were always made to feel welcome.

My mother Jean Otter had the privilege of staying at Country Home Care for almost 2 years. She enjoyed her stay with the best care possible from the dedicated care givers who truly loved my mother. The food was fresh cooked from scratch which my mom loved as she herself was an excellent cook. I highly recommend Country Home Care as it had a very homey atmosphere just like being in your own home.

Our mother Margaret lived many happy, beautiful years at Country Home Care. The goal here is to treat the residents as you would your own parents. And yes, the goal was far exceeded. Country Home Care was initially engaged as a ‘short term stay’ until a long-term facility could become available. After that first week, when we saw the exemplary care given to Mom, we asked that Country Home accept Mom for the long term. Country Home Care was the best decision we made for my Mother’s care. We are incredibly grateful for the love and superb care given to our Mother.

The home is on beautiful grounds and you can feel the warmth and caring as soon as you walk through the door. My father moved in (with the “above and beyond” help of one of his caregivers), we’ve noticed a big change in him. This was the perfect solution and I know he is getting the best care we could possibly find for him. I highly recommend Country Home Care!

As a family we visited many homes looking for a spot for our mother. We knew within a few minutes of meeting Laurie and her amazing staff that Country Home was the best place for our mother. Over the 4 years there was never a doubt we made the correct choice. Home made meals, excellent personal attention, staff was always happy, accommodations were great and it was always clean. She was always treated with respect and they genuinely cared for her well being. As a family we always felt welcome when we went for a visit and we actually miss going.

We moved our parents to Country Home Care in October 2018 to keep them safe, together and in their beloved Stouffville. Our Dad died peacefully at Country Home Care in 2019. Mom continues to be extremely well cared for by loving staff. While she has lots of family visits, we know her care continues in our absence. The Country Home Care staff treat their residents with love, care and respect. Country Home Care, in it’s beautiful rural setting, was the right choice for our family.
